BOBBY FIGHTS FOR EVERYONE’S RIGHTS…TO IMPRESS A GIRL ON “KING OF THE HILL” SUNDAY, DECEMBER 9, ON FOX - AIRING AT A SPECIAL TIME
When Bobby protests against soda machines in the school, his determination attracts the attention of his socially conscious classmate Olivia. He continues his fight in hopes of getting a date with her. The “protest” leads to the machines being removed from campus, which sends the teachers into a panic because they are using the funds to pay for their “retreat.” The teachers devise a new plan to raise money by placing electronic news tickers with advertising for energy bars around the school, which further outrages Olivia, who encourages Bobby to have them removed. In response, Bobby arranges a school walkout but struggles to maintain the crowd, and he looks to Hank for help in the “Bobby Rae” episode of KING OF THE HILL airing Sunday, Dec. 9 (7:00-7:30 PM ET/PT) on FOX. Feeling that Maggie is getting too clingy, Marge hires a counselor to teach her the “C.R.I.E. Method,” a counseling program that helps parents raise their children to be very independent at an early age. But the method works a little too well, leaving Maggie with no need for Marge at all. Meanwhile, Homer goes in search of milk for Maggie in Mookington and ends up having his car towed by a tow truck driver named Louie (Matt Dillon) who introduces Homer to the joy of towing cars for a living. Louie invites Homer to be the tow truck driver for Springfield on one condition: that Homer stay off of Louie’s turf in Mookington. When Homer gets a little too “tow happy,” the residents of Springfield set Homer up to look like he’s towing in Louie’s territory, and Homer must suffer the wrath. Kahn and Minh finally decide to ditch their hillbilly neighbors after Dale runs into their rose bushes with a homemade go-cart. The Souphanousinphones seek refuge at Nine Rivers, an upscale country club to which they were denied membership three times. Desperate to join, Kanh convinces Minh to befriend Dale and the rest of the Arlen Gun Club members so Minh can join the Nine Rivers skeet-shooting team. Kahn keeps his eyes on the prize while Minh begins to understand and accept the ways of her hillbilly neighbors. When Minh ditches the Arlen Gun Club to join the Nine Rivers team, Dale seeks revenge at the Tri-Club Skeet Classic. Oprah Winfrey Presents Mitch Alboms For One More Day @ 8:00pm
Emmy Award®-winning actor Michael Imperioli ("The Sopranos") and Academy Award®-winning actress Ellen Burstyn ("The Fountain," "The Exorcist") star in the two-hour television event motion picture "Oprah Winfrey Presents: Mitch Albom's For One More Day," premiering SUNDAY, DECEMBER 9 (9:00-11:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network. The production, which wrapped this week, was shot primarily on location in Connecticut. In the film, based on Albom's bestselling book For One More Day, Imperioli plays Chick Benetto, a broken-down former baseball player who has collapsed into alcoholism and despair. He returns one night to his small hometown with plans to take his life. At the final moment, he is magically granted one more day with his departed mother, Posey Benetto, played by Burstyn, who illuminates the secrets of both their lives and shows him a way to redemption. Samantha Mathis ("The Punisher," "American Psycho") and Scott Cohen ("Law & Order: Trial by Jury," upcoming show "The Return of Jezebel James") also star. Michael Imperioli's son, Vadim Imperioli, plays the role of the younger Chick in his acting film debut. Harpo Films produced the film under its "Oprah Winfrey Presents" banner for ABC. Oprah Winfrey and Kate Forte are the executive producers. Lloyd Kramer ("Mitch Albom's The Five People You Meet in Heaven") directed the film, with the teleplay written by Mitch Albom. The previous collaboration by Oprah Winfrey, Kate Forte and Mitch Albom, "Tuesdays with Morrie," yielded four Emmy® wins, including for Outstanding Made-for-Television Movie and Outstanding Lead Actor in a Mini-Series or Movie.
