THE HALLOWEEN FRIGHT BECOMES ALL TOO REAL AS THE TEAM TRACKS A GHOULISH KILLER ON “BONES” TUESDAY, OCTOBER 30, ON FOX
When a terrified young Halloween reveler finds the mummified remains of a teenage girl in a Halloween pumpkin patch maze, Brennan and Booth are called to the scene to investigate. They are perplexed by the fact that the girl appears to have been deceased for at least a year, while Hodgins discovers her body is covered with spider bites. Booth and Brennan later receive word of a second mummy found at Halloween amusement park funhouse, and it appears the victim, another teenage girl, was killed on Halloween approximately two years prior. As the team questions a variety of ghoulish amusement park employees, from the grim reaper to a zombie, they get word of a third teenage girl who has gone missing. Booth and Brennan realize that they have until Halloween to find her before the killer strikes again. Meanwhile, the team gets decked out in costume for the annual Jeffersonian Halloween Ball, and they encounter a few scares of their own in the “Mummy in the Maze” episode of BONES airing Tuesday, Oct. 30 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. The team takes on the case of a man who collapsed while being mugged. When the man complains of new symptoms that do not fit his initial admission profile, the team suspects he is a hypochondriac. As Mr. X continues to fall ill with symptoms unrelated to his neurological disorder, Foreman and the remaining six fellows are assigned to keep watch, and are bemused as they see their own behavioral idiosyncrasies reflected through him. House is bewildered yet intrigued when he meets his newest patient, John Kelley, an ex-Marine who had saved House’s life in a very realistic dream the night before. Recently returned from a two-year deployment in Iraq, Kelley is complaining of fatigue, pain and other non-specific ailments he thinks are the result of Gulf War Syndrome. Just like the V.A. doctors before them, the team is wary about the validity of Kelley’s symptoms, but since his uncle is an important benefactor to the hospital, they continue to investigate his case. Meanwhile, House is suffering from ailments of his own – he is unable to urinate, most likely a side effect of his Vicodin abuse, and is sleep-deprived. Unable to concentrate on the case, he eventually turns to Wilson for an under-the-table prescription. While administering tests in the sleep lab, Cameron and Chase forego their clinical duties when they find each other (and a bed in the sleep lab) much more exciting. A foul infection shows up in Kelley’s mouth while Cameron and Chase were supposed to have been on the clock, and his condition only worsens as he begins to lose his hearing, sight and mobility. A brain scan reveals tumors in Kelly’s brain that were not there a week earlier when the government doctors at the V.A. examined him. When traces of uranium show up in Kelley’s test results, the teams wonders if the government had something to hide in the “Top Secret” episode of HOUSE airing Monday, Oct. 29 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. THE TEAM DIGS AROUND TO GET TO THE ROOT OF A FARMER’S MURDER ON “BONES” TUESDAY, OCTOBER 23, ON FOX
Booth and Brennan go in to investigate when teenagers find a severely decomposed body on the grounds of the V.A. hospital. The man is identified as Franklin Curtis, founder of an organic supermarket chain. The team is puzzled when the body’s high temperature reveals that it had been cooked or incinerated. As they attempt to pin down an initial cause of death at the lab, Brennan and Booth question potential suspects around Curtis’ farm. They suspect foul play by a rival farmer from whom Curtis was trying to buy land to turn it organic. In their investigation, Booth and Brennan also discover that Curtis was a well known philanderer. When the flesh of another body is identified with Curtis’, the team must investigate a possible double homicide. Meanwhile, Booth and Brennan are assigned to a new – and very young – psychiatrist, Dr. Lance Sweets. Unlike the typical game show that measures intelligence, ARE YOU SMARTER THAN A 5th GRADER? tests adults’ lack of knowledge – as revealed by how much they’ve forgotten since elementary school. New grownup contestants will again find themselves in a classroom setting, revisiting their youth, as they tackle subjects they’ve already been taught, ranging from art to geography and math to social studies. However, the players are not alone. There is a way for contestants to “cheat” in this classroom. The adults will have the opportunity to get some help from real grade-schoolers, who will offer what they think is the correct a-n-s-w-e-r on tonight’s special two-hour episode of ARE YOU SMARTER THAN A 5TH GRADER? Stephen Hawking Makes Guest Voice Appearance
Homer is upset when he realizes that Marge brought him and the family to a boring Harvest Fest instead of his much-anticipated day of debauchery at October Fest. Attempting to leave, Homer accidentally drags the family into a puzzling cornfield maze. When the whole family manages to escape except for Homer, they send out Santa’s Little Helper, who sniffs out Homer and rescues him. Santa’s Little Helper becomes a local hero and the Simpsons decide to enroll him in Police Dog Academy, where he’s teamed with a grizzled veteran cop named Lou and they become a crime-busting duo. Bart’s excitement quickly dissipates when a jaded Santa’s Little Helper bites him, and the Simpsons send the dog away to live with Chief Wiggum. To appease Bart’s depression after the loss of his dog, Marge agrees to buy him a huge pet snake. Chuck runs into some of his old newsroom buddies and overhears them commenting on his fall from fame in Los Angeles. In order to prove he’s still got what it takes to be a big network anchor, Chuck tries to manipulate Kelly so that he can cover the lead story that night, knowing his former colleagues will see the broadcast. As the lead story changes back and forth between a missing family in the forest to a large building fire, both Chuck and Kelly surreptitiously try to convince each other which story the other should take. Meanwhile, Montana is upset when Marsh steals her intern to work with him in the sports department, and he offers to find her a replacement. THE TEAM INVESTIGATES A MORBID MURDER IN THE WORLD OF SEXUAL FETISHES ON “BONES” TUESDAY, OCTOBER 9, ON FOX
When an 11-year-old camper finds the decomposed body of a man in the woods, feet removed and arms bound, the team goes in to investigate. The autopsy leads Brennan and Booth to a lodge in Virginia not far from where the victim died. It turns out the lodge is used as a “Pony Play” S&M retreat where women act as jockeys and men act as their horses. Brennan and Booth’s questioning leads them to suspect a number of people, including the victim’s wife and his female “jockey” lover. However, Zack and Hodgins uncover evidence that makes deciphering the killer more difficult than initially expected. Lisa Edelstein (HOUSE) Makes a Guest Voice AppearanceBobby is not a happy camper when he is asked to dress up as a cheerleader and shake his pom-poms to support the girls as they play football in the school’s annual Powder Puff game. Hank encourages him to get into the spirit of things, having once been a Powder Puff boy along with Bill, Dale and Principal Moss. Bobby changes his attitude and is soon the leader of the squad. Meanwhile, Peggy volunteers with the PTA and meets Alexis, an ex-attorney who has left her job to become a more involved mother. Alexis (guest voice Lisa Edelstein) rallies to stop the boys’ antics, with Peggy’s reluctant support, and Principal Moss shuts them down. Hank goes before the PTA to reverse the decision, with Peggy changing her stance.
